What's next?

For a while now I've been making creations that are sold through a number of local shops. There's been a range of things, such as cards, toys, bags, brooches...

So I have decided to expand the current TOMNI design and soon it will contain a 'sub shop' containing my original handmade creations. I've been working on a few ideas for a new TOMNI design logo as well.

As owls have been one of the first original toy creations I made, I thought it would represent the shop quite well. And since my toddler son has been asking me to draw birds for him over and over, I got quite a bit of experience drawing the owls, which I then had turned into a digital image, resulting in this:

But I thought that the owl looked a bit lonely (and being black and white not very exciting), so after adding a bit of detail and colour, here's what it looks like now:
** Well the final logo ended up getting a little 'facelift' thanks to my hubby! **

No Nonsense Cards

Here’s some cards made using the Jingle Jangle paper from the Nonsense collection by We R Memory Keepers.

The following supplies (available from www.tomnidesign.com.au) were used in making this card: Core’dinations cardstock: Whitewash in Barn Siding, Red Pepper, Deco Coral, ColorBox Warm Red Fluid Chalk ink, Cafe Latte grosgrain ribbon, Jingle Jangle paper by We R Memory Keepers, Tim Holtz On The Edge – Scallops die, Trimmings Mum Rub On skinnies, MM Sanding Block, Core’dinations Dust Buddy, double sided adhesive tape. Own supplies – decorative pin, Dimensional magic.

Here are a couple more cards made using the same paper:
The flower motif was cut out from the Jingle Jangle paper, adhered with mounting foam and decorated with a FTI rhinestone and rub on.

In this card I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to create the layered flowers from felt and fabric.
